NALA Strategic Plan 2017-2019

The National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) is committed to making sure people with literacy and numeracy difficulties can fully take part in society and have access to learning opportunities that meet their needs. This strategic plan sets out how we aim to improve outcomes for adults with literacy and numeracy difficulties in Ireland from 2017-19. We developed the plan following a review of our work and consultations with adult literacy students, our members and other key players in adult literacy and further afield.

NALA Strategic Plan 2014-2016

The National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) is committed to making sure people with literacy and numeracy difficulties can fully take part in society and have access to learning opportunities that meet their needs. This strategic plan sets out how we aim to provide solutions to improve outcomes for adults with literacy and numeracy difficulties and highlight the value of improved literacy and numeracy skills to Ireland’s social and economic development.

NALA Strategic Plan 2007-2010

This is the Agency's third strategic plan. It was a very focused plan with emphasis on developing policy, advocacy, research and offering advisory services.

NALA Strategic Plan 2002-2006

This is the Agency's second strategic plan. It was developed at a critical time in the development of adult literacy work internationally. It was an ambitious plan covering a five-year period.

NALA Strategic Plan 1999-2001

This is the Agency's first strategic plan. The plan was based on consultation with our Executive, staff and members and was developed in a time when the adult literacy issue was very much to the forefront, following the International Adult Literacy Survey, 1997.
