Special ‘Help My Kid Learn’ Library Day on Tuesday 11 June
Next Tuesday 11 June, libraries around the country are holding special ‘Help My Kid Learn’ Days for parents and children. They include story reading activities, percussion fun, treasure hunts and lots more activities to keep everyone entertained and learning.
Library Days are being run in association with the National Adult Literacy Agency. The aim is to provide parents and guardians, who are usually rushed off their feet, with lots of fun and simple activities they can do every day with their children to help them learn at home.
The Help My Kid Learn Library Day is part of a wider public information campaign showing parents easy ways they can help their children’s literacy and numeracy development at home. There is also a TV series at 7.30pm every Monday night called ‘The Family Project’.
