Guidelines on the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in Adult Literacy Services’ (SOLAS-ETBI-NALA, 2018) was funded by SOLAS.

Arising from these Guidelines, the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) was commissioned to produce these case studies and the accompanying research report and recommendations on the inclusion of Adults with Intellectual Disabilities on behalf of SOLAS and ETBI.

NALA engaged the research expertise of Bernie Grummell, Meliosa Bracken and Conor Magrath at the Centre for Research in Adult Learning and Education, Maynooth University as partners in delivering the resulting reports.
